help me? deciding which UC

Deadlines are Nov. 30th, and I am a senior in high school with a 3.35 UC GPA, and a 3.26 unweighted GPA. I am in the top 10% of my class, and I am in two different academies at my high school. I have and am taking college classes at my community college while taking AP, and honors classes. So I will have graduated with college credit classes and will be ahead of the game. I am also in 4 different clubs, and have over 100+ volunteering hours throughout my high school career. I am applying to UC Irvine, San Diego, Davis, and since I only get 4 fee waivers, the question is should I apply to UC Santa Barbara or UC Merced? I don't have money to pay for more than what they offer me free, so I have to choose. Sadly I am not a good test taker so I received around 1300 on my SAT, and UC's is only asking for the ACT writing, which I got a composite score of 16, sadly the first time I took the ACT I took it without writing but I received 19. It sucks because I took the writing one the second time so I didn't feel like trying, but on my first science I received 21, and the second time with writing I received 13. What do I do? Where should I apply and what are my chances? I already applied to Cal States, and some privates which some are not due until next year so my main concern is UC's right now. Help? :-( and if this info is needed, I do live in California!

Oh, and for awards and I am also part of California Scholarship Federation aka “Honors” list because of my grades and rank. I’ve received perfect attendance too, if that matters.

Perhaps Merced but, honestly, unless you qualify in local context, I don’t think you have a very good chance. Look into it here:

[Local path (ELC) | UC Admissions](http://admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/freshman/california-residents/local-path/index.html)

CSUs are probably a better target for you. Maybe San Marcos, Channel Islands, Sonoma or Monterey. Hopefully you’ve included a few of those in you application list.

Good luck.

you should probably apply to UC Merced, since you stand almost no chance at getting into UCSB
but honestly, Merced is possibly the only school you can get into
UCI, UCD, and UCSD are pretty hard to get into

and the perfect attendance doesn’t matter to UCs. Most things outside of GPA and test scores don’t matter
