Help me devise a list of schools please!

Reposted from another forum

I'm just a junior but I want to get a good idea of what schools might be a good fit now so we have plenty of time to research and plan visits.

Public school w/good rep.I have 4.0 UW so far, although I'm nervous about my AP History class this year. Taking all possible AP/Honors classes. Class size around 450. Will be taking PSAT soon and am ranging between 220-230 on various practice tests. EC's include 1 sport, NHS, Student council, Student paper, yearbook, mentoring.

What I am looking for-

Good pre vet program

Medium sized school (>5<10)

4 seasons

Somewhere where they won't think I'm a hick because of an accent. That might sound lame but my cousin went to a Northeastern LAC and she transferred after a year because she got tired of being called country girl.

A year abroad

I LOVE horses and country music but will be willing to be away from both for my school years because I eventually want to move back to this area and be a vet.

My safeties will be 2 state schools and I'm OK with going to either one of them but I really want to get out of state (TX).

Thank you for any suggestions!
Ohiomom suggested Tufts, Ohio State (Honors), Skidmore (good biology dept., - horse country and many ops to ride), Cornell.

Some of the best pre-vet are the larger schools with affiliated Veterinary Colleges. Don't restrict yourself to a medium size school.
