Hi guys, I have a few colleges in mind and am looking for some more input and maybe colleges that might suit me. I have a 3.3 gpa fresh/soph and 4.0 this year. 33.25 on act 5 on AP macro. I am looking for maybe a math/comp sci/business kinda major. I think I will just apply for an econ major regardless due to my score on AP and then I can switch my major later. I also want to be in an urban environment, preferably with a little bit of aid.

University of Pennsylvania -R
University of Chicago -R
WUSTL -LR
NYU -M
BU -M
Bentley University -LM
DePaul -S

Thanks guys if you want any input feel free to post your threads!

UPenn and UChicago are definitely reaches, but you have a good chance. BU and NYU are matches, and you’ll probably get into the other schools you listed. As for other schools, I’d look into northeastern, especially if you’re looking into a major in the sciences. They have a strong co-op program, and it is a really nice campus. Also, I know that BU doesn’t give the best aid for local students if you’re around Boston, so I’d consider that as well (They do have two main scholarships, which have early deadlines, so I’d look into those). BC is nice as well, but it might not be as urban as you’d like. Brandeis is also another strong school, but definitely suburban. Did you have a specific region/city in mind? Good luck :)

BC - LR
George Washington - M
Northeastern - M
Fordham - M
Villanova - M

I would drop Bentley given its location. I don’t think you’ll find it appealing.

Thanks for the response. Any city colleges really. I really like NYC but the only college that I could see myself at there is NYU maybe Fordham. Thanks for the input though!

If you define a little bit of aid as a loan then I guess NYU would qualify.

Haha yeah I guess I do Erin’s dad
