Help me finalize my college decision?

So after finally getting all my decisions, I’m stuck at a standstill on where to go: The college of Literature, Science, and the Arts at the University of Michigan, vs the Kelley School of Business at Indiana.

Just some info about me.

I applied to Ross, but was unfortunately rejected. Michigan is my in-state school, but cost of attendance is similar for both schools (2000 dollars cheaper at Michigan). My goal is to be an investment banker at a firm in wall street, and I was just curious if LSA is still a viable option to reach this goal.

Kelley offered me a decent amount of scholarship money, as well as direct admission into both Hutton and their business honors program (through ACE).

I love the appeal of Ann Arbor, and I have a lot of friends going here. Huge sports fan as well, and it looks like Michigan has the advantage there as well. Still, it seems as though Kelley is just an overall great option (and is certainly not a sloucher in the sports nor college town aspects) and I have no idea what I should do.

I’m (slightly) leaning toward LSA, but my worry is that LSA doesn’t offer strong ibank placement out of college when compared to ross.

Thanks in advance for all the help.

Tl;dr: Got into LSA at Umich and Kelley+ace at IU. Does LSA offer competitive enough job opportunities to get into the Ibanking field when compared to Kelley.

Be whatever at umich. And then go to HBS and have them line up the truck for you.

For business and especially IB, Kelley Hutton+ ACE has the edge.
In terms of general prestige and general quality, LSA (especially if you got LSA honors) would have the edge.

How committed are you to IB? Make sure you understand how competitive it is and what the lifestyle is like before making your college decision.

You may gain some insight by looking at the resumes of current IB students. I found this for Kelley, but didn’t see one for Michigan. https://kelley.iu.edu/IBN/Members/memberViewForm_1.cfm?gradYear=2018&affType=1
If you were my child, I would encourage you to compare the opportunities available at Michigan versus Kelley. I would also look at the selectivity of these opportunities. Then ask ourself which school is better aligned with your future goals. Good luck!
