I'm looking for a grad school that will admit me as an unclassified student. I want an MS in Computer Science but my Bachelor's is in Econ. I also don't want to have to send in any rec letters. I don't care how awful the university is, as a matter of fact, the worse, the better.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I live in California and am currently looking at the CSUs, in particular CSU Los Angeles and CSU Dominguez Hills but I was wondering whether there are other options available.

lol, “the worse the better”? if a grad school exists that doesn’t require any LOR then yes it would be pretty terrible but why even go to grad school then?

Obvious ■■■■■ is obvious.

Geez… you guys are a bunch of cynics.

I said, “The worse, the better”, because my GPA isn’t exactly top-notch. Not everyone has the privilege to get into any grad school they want. Also, I’m really shy and sensitive about my low GPA so I don’t want to get to know one of my professors and ask for a LOR.

The universities I listed in the OP, CSU Los Angeles and CSU Dominguez Hills actually fulfill all my requirements. The former college doesn’t even require the GRE. The GPA minimum for these colleges are 2.5 and 2.75 respectively.

If someone could help me out, that would be great. I want to look beyond the CSU system.

A lot of people have poor GPA’s and still make it into grad school.

its all about what else you have that makes up for the poor GPA. Thus, having good LOR would be in your favor. So you should probably want to start talking with some profs about this.

i dont see why you want to go to grad school anyway if you don’t care about the quality. just because you want a masters?
