Guys i want to do Mechanical Engineering/Civil Engineering. These are my stats

O levels gpa: 3.97/4
ACT: NA
New SAT 1450
SAT2: Early 700s for Maths 2 and Physics
APs taken: Not offered at my school. We have A Levels.
O levels grade: 7A* 1A 1B
AS level: 3As.
A levels subjects: Physics, Maths, Further Maths, Economics and Computer Science.
Alevels GPA: 4/4
UW gpa: 4.5

ECs:
-One of the top two Pianists at my school. Have performed at numerous events and sent a music supplement which i believe would be considered good.
-Paid Internship at a civil Engineering firm for 3 months
-Head of Scientia (Math related event organized by my school)
-Head of Mathematics dynamic society.
-Assisstant teacher Mathematics/peer teacher at my school.
-Ambassador to CARE foundation Pakistan.
-Volunteer work at CARE Foundation Pakistan and Rising Suns institute for Special Children.
-lead badminton team to Sicas sports festival and BDC sports festival.

Recommendation:
Economics teacher: The guy loved me and i always used to get an A in his class so it would be like 10/10
Head of Mathematics department: 10/10 for sure. He loves me and thinks I’m some sort of genius.
Head of music department rec: really good the guy loves my playing 10/10
Counselor rec: should be good

Essays: (really counting on this part)
-Common app one: I’m not sure but I think this is a 10/10. Almost everyone who read it told me its the best college essay they’ve ever read.
-Supplements: 9/10

I am a Pakistani citizen and i wish to apply for Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering. If there are other universities i have a chance in and are good in Mechanical Engineering please do mention them. I am also applying for need based financial aid so kindly refer those universities that provide a lot of Financial aid.

My school doesn’t do ranks but i am like top 5 out of a class of 309.

I don’t think there are safety schools for international students who need a lot of financial aid. Check the international threads for colleges thst offer grants to noncitizens, apply to those, and hope for the best.

There aren’t any safeties for int’ls who can’t pay at least $20k per year.

If there were, a gazillion int’ls would apply to those schools and suddenly they wouldn’t be safeties anymore.

there are a few schools that will give free tuition to int’ls with a stats, but you will still have to pay for room, board, books, fees, health insurance, int’l travel and personal expenses…about $20k per year.

With your stats, if you apply quickly (like today!!) and quickly send transcripts and scores, then Alabama would give you free tuition plus 2500 per year for eng’g.

But…the deadline is Dec 15, AND it takes LONGER for int’l stuff to get sent, so you’d need to act quickly to get everything there by Dec 15.

If you send scores today, why would they get there on the 24th? You can rush send them.
