I'm not worried about getting in to college....I'm worrying about affording it.

Thus, I need financial safeties, besides SUNY schools, women's colleges, and community colleges (i live in NY) which have been popular suggestions that I'm not interested in.

I have a 96.02/100 GPA UNWEIGHTED, top 10 of my class of over 250, 1370/2100 SAT and tonsssssss of ECs and awards. (just to name a few: ive been president of my class, im president of two clubs and done significant things with them, youth voting member on the town board, won two state essay contests, and been the keynote speaker at a national leadership conference etc etc)

I'm also a first generation college student, and my father fought cancer last year and survived. (very hard times on family...used savings to live off)

My efc is about 4-5k which is going to be hard to pay.

I don't mind taking out UNDER 20k in loans.

What are some schools that will meet most of my need in grants and give great merit aid?

my financial safeties so far are

suny geneseo and albany
vanderbilt (i talked to my adm rep in my area and she said they cap of loans and stuff and i have a good shot at getting in)
university of dayton (applying for their berry scholars program = full ride)

where else is going to give me money? THANKS!

ps. if youve been following my posts and are sick of me, please dont feel that you have to respond. im looking for other suggestions.
