Help me find my EA?

Hey everyone--

I'm going to apply to the following schools RD: Wellesley, Smith, Bryn Mawr, Mt. Holyoke, Barnard, NYU, BU, UVermont (safety), and UMissouri (safety).

I want to apply early action SOMEWHERE but seem to find a school to my taste that offers EA. I'm looking for an anti-animal house college experience at a college with at least a "pretty strong" reputation... any suggestions for me?

Thanks a lot,
Bustles

Ah, if only Dartmouth offered EA.

I said anti-animal house ;P

My suggestion would be to try the Fiske Guide and see if any of the following speak to you--Amherst, Bowdoin, Carleton, Haverford, and Swarthmore--then plan a few visits (preferably an overnight) before you commit to ED. (I assume you meant ED b/c most of the peer schools to those on your RD list are ED schools.)

If you truly meant EA, then other than Georgetown, Harvard, Stanford and Yale (which I don't really recommend for you), I don't have any good ideas. Good luck.

My D is applying EA to U Chicago, MIT and Case Western and early/rolling to U Michigan. You could see if any of those meet your criteria.

Harvard eliminated Early Action last year.

UVM has Early Action; is there a reason you're not applying EA there? It's awfully nice to get into a safety early on.

Wellesley has an Early Evaluation plan, similar to EA, which is non-binding and gives you a "likely letter" in February.

Oh, I didn't know UVM had early action! Thanks :) Yeah, I knew about EE at Wellesley, I'm just looking for one or two more EAs... some security so that I can sleep a few nights this year ;)

I forgot that Harvard eliminated EA. Thanks for reminding me.
