Help Me Find My Perfect College?

I know that this is why college search engines are used for, but there is only so much they can tell you. I'm just trying to look for some "insider info" about colleges I'm considering.

Wishlist:

• liberal arts
• small size (the thought of going to a school with 17,000 other students is terrifying to me!)
• great History and English departments
• Greek life or sports don't dominate the college life
• safe town/city (If I go out of state, my mother is most likely going to move with me [sounds crazy to some, but we have our reasons] and so a safe place for both of us would be awesome)
• preferably in New England, but states closeby are fine as well (Ohio, Virginia, Indiana, etc..)
• dedicated profs

Currently Kenyon College is my top choice, but I obviously need to apply to more than one college.

Any info you all could give me is very much appreciated!

Thanks in advance,
Hannah

What are your stats (GPA/scores)? What can your family afford? In OH you can consider Wooster and Denison. In IN Earlham. In VA maybe Hollins.

Smith College in Northampton, MA. About 3,000 students. Women’s college* Very lovely, safe town and you’d certainly get an excellent education.
