Help me find PREPPY schools !!!

I'm trying to make a college list that has a student body I will be comfortable with. I am looking for a preppy school with a gregarious student body and a fun social atmosphere. No Cutthroat Schools, please. I am conservative but I don't care if student body is moderate, as long as its not ultra-liberal. I played lacrosse in HS so a club team would also be a plus. My interests include English, History, and Political Science. I hate math, science, etc.
[Stats: White Male, 3.75 UW, 2150 SAT, 33 ACT, good ECs, recs, etc.]

Please recommend some schools you think I would like (or remove schools on my list that I wouldn't like). I need to research more safeties too. If you have any input (on these schools below or other schools) I would be grateful to hear it. Thanks for your help!!!!

Princeton (Extreme Reach)
Dartmouth (High Reach)
Duke (High Reach)
Williams (High Reach)
Georgetown (Reach)
Vanderbilt (Reach) [**First Choice-- applying ED]
Bowdoin (Slight Reach)
Boston College (Slight Reach)
Colgate (Slight Reach)
Davidson (Slight Reach)
Middlebury (Slight Reach)
Washington and Lee (Slight Reach)
Boston University (Match)
Bucknell (Match)
Colby (Match)
Hamilton (Match)
Lehigh (Match)
Wake Forest (Match)
Connecticut College (Match-Safety)
Delaware (Match-Safety)

Hobart and William Smith (Match-Safety)
Lafayette (Match-Safety)
Trinity (Match-Safety)
Colorado (Safety)
Gettysburg (Safety)
Northeastern (Safety)
Rollins (Safety)

Washington and Lee and Davidson are harder to get into than Vanderbilt. With your stats and applying ED-you will be going to Vanderbilt and it sounds as if you will be happy there. Davidson and W&L would be up your alley as well, just depends where you want to live(in the city-Vanderbilt, near the city-Davidson, in the boondocks-W&L).

How about University of Miami? It's preppy, and fun. With your stats thus far, you might also receive some merit aid from them. My daughter described it as a "90210" school.

thanks for the responses, I'll do some research on Miami. Any other opinions?

Lacrosse is huge at Hampden-Sydney.You'll get a nice ride from the honors program.

A good fit is more important to me than prestige. The only thing that bothers me about Hampden-Sydney is that it is all guys. Are there any sister schools nearby?

U of Richmond is as preppy as it gets...

Your list & assessments are right on.

Hey, what's with the "90210" comment above. I live there. What's that supposed to mean?

I'm not sure that Northeastern is that preppy.

"90210"

No offense intended...but dd thought all the girls a U of Miami looked like they had walked off the set (not the REAL place)...blonds, Lily Pullitzer dresses, etc on a college campus. She thought the campus looked very very preppy and that everyone looked the same. Just for the record, DD is applying to schools in CA which actually made me chuckle. BUT she said U of Miami was preppy beyond preppy.

Northeastern isn't preppy at all - in Boston, it's probably the most "working class" of the major colleges, due to its internship program.

thumper- 90210 comment on my part was a little tounge in cheek.
I will tell you though that if your d is applying to California schools, forget the stereotypes (well at least for the most part).

BTW, Beverly Hills High (which is actually in 90212- lol) is NOTHING like the 90210 show, you will not find a more diverse place and the norm there is most certainly not blonde hair and blue eyes.

As far as the colleges, you'll find everything in California from religious based schools, to party schools to top academics, public, private, etc. etc.

The schools in California that I guess I would consider at least somewhat preppy are USC, Stanford, Pepperdine, U of San Diego, Claremont McKenna and perhaps Loyola Marymount.

Um- i have you looked at any other DC schools? American U and George Washington U sound like good matches for you. I found them to be conservative and "preppy" and they both have fantastic academics! And the cool thing about them too, is they're preppy, but they have awesome locations! like GW's campus isnt really like a campus its like living in a city, and American is totally different b/c everything seems to happen on campus. But those are the 2 schools i think you should check out

Lots of smart girls know about and live near HSC-Hollins,Sweet Briar,Randolph Macon Women's College,UVA,W&L,Richmond, etc.
Contact the lax coach, maybe you'll luck out and make the team-a national D111 power.Contact the honors program and check out the money awarded there. Most of all,VISIT!!!
Good luck-you'll love it.

You might want to check out the Boston area schools as well. Bentley, BU and BC are all for sure very preppy. I turned down a few offers from Boston area schools for Penn State's business program. Anyway I visited all three of those schools and each was extremely preppy with kids driving around in flashy cars with their collars popped.

The University of Virginia, University of Richmond, Washington and Lee

Look at schools in PA.

Washington and Lee and Davidson should definitely be higher on that list, but anyway, I do know that Washington and Lee is a very conservative school with hard partying on the weekends.

The stereotype is that they're a bunch of rich, white, southern kids and about 75% of them join frats. If I goto that school, I'll be totally against the flow because I'm a semi-rich Chinese moderate, but by interacting with me you would definitely think I'm solid in the middle of the middle class.

Penn (wharton is very cutthroat but not the school of arts and sciences)
