Help Me Find Safeties

I'm a HS junior from MA. I'm in process of narrowing down my college list. Currently though, my list is rather heavy on reaches and matches. My only true safety is UMass-Amherst. My stats are:
35 composite on the ACT (36,35,35,33)
4.0 unweighted GPA in most rigorous courseload available at my school
Salutatorian out of 113 kids in my grade right now
Good ECs
Great essays
Finances do not really matter right now. I plan to major in Economics, although I am likely to go in undeclared. While I want to get out of MA, I want to stay on the East Coast-down to Tennessee or Virginia is probably my limit distance-wise. Thanks for your help!

Some quick ideas are: Fordham (has EA), Tulane (a little out of your geographic area but get a lot of east coast students and also has EA), SUNY Binghamton, Lehigh, UMD, UDelaware, Syracuse. Additional information about what you are looking for in a school would be helpful.

How much can your family pay? It isn’t a safety if you can’t pay for it.

what schools are on your list so far?

Maybe a bit far, but ohio state gives great oos scholarships to a point for where it would cost almost the same as umass. They have one scholarship for oos with a 28+ act worth 12k a yr and then other merit scholarships that are combineable. When its all said and done, it would cost you around 8k a yr tuition. A safety ranked 55 is usnwr, doesnt get much better than that for a safety!

Sent from my YP-G1 using CC

Depends on your major! If engineering: Olan College, MIT, George Tech, John Hopkins, Cornell. For safeties- U Michigan, NYU, all SUNY schools, Boston College.

Other good safety, target schools are : Tulane, Dartmouth, Florida Tech, Anapolis

I think you could get into a lot of those schools with such great stats. All you need is good EC’s and Leadership and good essays. Good Luck!

Thanks to everyone who has helped so far.

My planned major is economics. My family isn’t going to get any financial aid, so merit is the only money I’ll get. We won’t struggle to pay for any education though. I don’t like winter, so I’m not really looking to go to Michigan/Chicago/etc.

So far my list is:
EA:
Yale
UVA
UNC-CH
UMass Amherst
RD:
Duke
Vanderbilt
Boston College
Wharton UPenn
William and Mary
WuSTL (might take this off, but I hear they give pretty good merit. also have a shot at running track here)

Once again, thanks to all those who replied. I’ll look into the colleges mentioned.

UPittsburgh would probably give you good merit, same with lacs such as Dickinson, Gettysburgh. Not quite safeties but good matches could be University of Richmond and Davidson (NC) they have an amazing econ program, and one fo the best LACs in the country. good weather and division I sports (if thats a pull for you, its unusual for a LAC) Also George Washington in DC. And what about NC state
