I’ve found reach schools to apply to (UCLA, UC Berk, New York University, John Hopkins). However, I’m really struggling to find good safety schools to apply to. My only safety school is UT Austin right now. (Based on my class rank, I have automatic acceptance). Based on my stats, does anyone have ideas on reasonable safety schools for me to apply to? I want to pursue a career in biostatistics.

Please help me if you can. I can really use some suggestions
UCLA/UCB will give you little to no financial aid as an OOS applicant, so expect to pay at the minimum $23,000 + EFC up to $55K/year. Since these are your Reach schools, I would remove them from your list and add some Reach schools that will give you some decent financial aid if you happen to get accepted.
look into your state schools esp because public schools are more likely to give financial aid to residents of their state. (and in-state tuition is cheaper).
Do you understand that for a school to be a safety, that means that you have to be 100% sure that you have all costs covered? A school can’t be a safety if you can’t afford to attend it.

Not very much, especially since i have three siblings.I’ve been looking really hard for scholarships.

You need to get an amount from your parents. Ask them.
You can’t rely on outside scholarships to pay for college. Most are for only frosh year…you’d be out of luck after that.
Is your family low income?
Have your parents run the NPC on UTexas website and see what they say about the result.
Also ask them how much they’ll pay.
You have to be careful that you don’t end up with no affordable schools.
Forget NYU and the UCs. They will not be affordable.
If you’re lower income, look into Questbridge, you definitely have the stats to have a shot.
Due to your music prowess, two colleges that seek to increase both ethnic and geographical diversity would be interested in you, Lawrence University in Wisconsin and St Olaf in Minnesota. I know it’s far from Texas, but both are excellent in the sciences and St Olaf is especially well-regarded for math. Run the NPC on both but since you’re a “desirable” candidates with many hooks as far as they’re concerned (state of origin, ethnicity, SAT score, music skill), you’d likely get very good financial aid offers since UT Austin can be unaffordable for in-state lower-income applicants. To make them safeties you’d need to express interest by filling out their “request information” forms, then clicking on everything they send you (they track that), perhaps email Admissions to be put in touch with a student from Texas…
