Help me find some colleges I have shot at getting into!

I’m a senior who, unfortunately, slacked off a bit my first two years of high school. Despite an upward trend junior and expected senior year, I finished junior year with a 3.38 UW GPA and 3.89 W. On the bright side, I scored 30 composite on my ACT with a 36 in English and 35 in RC. I have a whole bunch of extracurriculars and some awards, both academic and nonacademic. I know my GPA isn’t terrible, but it is definitely holding me back in the college search process.

So far, I’ve applied to University of Colorado Boulder, University of Alabama (accepted), University of Mississippi (accepted), University of Arizona, and am working on apps for University of Georgia (huuuuge reach) and James Madison University.

I’d like to compile a list of just a few more schools that I have a decent chance of getting into. I’m from Colorado and would love to go out of state! If anyone knows of any universities that I should be looking into, please let me know!

Thank you all for your help

What are you looking for in a school? What are the criteria other than that they are willing to take you. Are you mostly interested in big State Us? Urban areas? Warm weather? Southern? Money no object? What will you major in?

More information would help us give you good suggestions.

Sure! I think I’d prefer a big school with a lot of spirit, so probably a sports culture and greek system. I prefer college towns over big cities but location within the US is not a big factor. I’ve lived in Colorado for 13 years and I love the Rocky Mountains but I also think a change could be really nice, so no preference there. Money is absolutely an object, the reason I applied to Ole Miss, Alabama, Arizona is for automatic merit scholarships. I would like to keep my overall annual costs under $35k. I’m applying as Undeclared but I will most likely end up in polisci or journalism, so just a general BA. Thank you for your response!

Students who are residents of WICHE states (including Colorado) are eligible to request a reduced tuition rate of 150% of resident tuition at participating two- and four-year college programs outside of their home state. This link has the list of schools.
