Help me find some reach schools

Hey everyone, I'm a rising senior and am looking for some reach/high-match schools to apply to. I'm from Indiana and have an interest in chemical engineering. Naturally, Purdue and Rose Hulman are two schools that I will apply to, but other than that I do not have a big list of schools. Thus, I would appreciate any help in selecting some reach schools that I should look into for engineering. (Specifically chemical, possibly biomedical)

Stats:
3.87 UW GPA/ 4.0xx+ W GPA
Top 10% of H.S. class
32 ACT Comp (33 If superscore with 34 math from 1st attempt)
1900 SAT (prefer not to submit this if I dont have to) :(

-AP's - calc AB and chem, Dual Credit U.S. history class and Writing Comp class through Indiana University, and other honors level math/science courses throughout h.s.

EC's: Fairly typical
-National Honor Society
-Various clubs (spanish, chess, etc..)
-1 Year of Track
-200 + hours of community service
-50 + hours of tutoring
-1 year of coaching basketball
-Helped design and build a set for school theatre performances.
-Freshman Mentor (upcoming year)
- + any other activities I pursue senior year

Any recommendations for reach schools I should consider would be appreciated, or even some schools that may be considered a high match.

You said “reach/low-match” and “low match” but I think you meant HIGH match…

Obviously financial aid consideration may be a factor, but aside from that I would definitely add UC Berkeley to your list.

Thanks for the clarification, I flipped the terms around in my head.

Other good chemical engineering schools include:

Caltech
MIT
University of Delaware
University of Minnesota (Twin Cities)
University of Michigan
University of Texas (Austin)
University of Wisconsin (Madison)
several University of California campuses

How much is cost a concern? If it is a significant concern, it may be hard to beat in-state Purdue, although Minnesota is relatively inexpensive for out-of-state students.

Cost does play a factor, I’m not going to pay 40k + a year out of pocket with no aid/scholarships or anything. That said, if I can find some schools that are more expensive than Purdue, but I feel are worth it, I would have no problem applying there. I didn’t plan on applying to too many Big 10 schools because I have Purdue in state, and honestly I feel that they are all pretty similar in engineering. Though I do have an interest in U of I and Minnesota does seem nice as well.

I have not looked into delaware or Caltech yet though, thanks for the suggestions.

Check out Georgia Tech, particularly if biomedical is in the mix.
