I'm a high school graduate looking to pursue CS in the U.S.

I'll get straight to the point, I've noticed that very few of the schools offer need based assistance to internationals, most of them are elite and tough to get into.

I'm looking for schools which-

1) Are familiar with the Indian education system (CBSE), and won't require for me to convert my boards into an American GPA from WES.

2) Could offer me some type of aid, mind the "could" here. I'm not looking for schools which just rule out the possibility of ANY kind of financial aid for internationals (scholarships, grant, need based; not loans). I'll apply to many of these, so one of them has to have a good offer for me, which makes yearly expenses deflate to $12-15k, which is my ballpark.

3)
SAT: 1950
ACT: 29
SAT IIs: 780 Chem 770 Physics 760 M1
GPA: Board Average- 72% (special circumstances explained in counselor LOR).
LORs: Great, read 'em.
Essays: Goodish.
ECs: Hyperactive in a lot of things.

List as many schools that perfectly fit these criteria, in order of prestige and acceptance difficulty.

There’s no university which is good AND offers aid/scholarships AND is easy to get in. You got to compromise with one thing. Sorry.
EDIT: To be brutally honest, you can’t get merit aid based on those scores.

For starters u can look into Howard university,University of New Orleans,Caldwell,Ramapo college of new jersey…These schools give financial aid based on merit(SAT specifically)…
If you have a composite score of(CR+Math) 1300 then you can even get a full ride. just check them out…!!
Hope this helps…

I’m looking for the exact same thing.
I’d consider Liberal Arts Colleges as my major is Physics; I don’t know much about yours.
LAC’s are considered to be pretty good for undergraduate education.

@gunning4ivies Sorry if this is a bit off topic, but you mentioned colleges which do not require converting grades. So do most American Colleges typically convert foreign grades into their own?

@Shystarryskies many colleges are well acquainted with the CBSE/ICSE system so they’re able to convert your marks into an American GPA. Others that aren’t, ask you to get an external evaluation from WES or some other evaluation agency, which is a huge pain.
