Help me get into Indiana!

Hi!
I am a high school senior from florida, and am very interested in going to Indiana University. What are my chances of getting in and what can i do to improve my chances?

About me

unweighted gpa : 3.27
weighted gpa : 4.38
Most of my classes that i have taken or will take in senior year will be either AP's or honor classes
Number of AP's: 10
I have 300+ service hours
My school allows me to take community college classes while in high school and i have taken computer programming
I am looking to major in computer science/engineering, and i have job experience in a field that deals with engineering/computer science.
I can speak two languages fluently(English,Telugu) and have 2+ years of Spanish and French
I am a member of national honor society, english honor society, jsa, and Rho kappa( will be the treasurer of the club)

I know my unweighted gpa is low, but is there anything that i can do to help improve my chances? Also I have been reading conflicting information about whether there is an application essay, can someone clear that up for me? Also should i wait to turn in my application, or should i try to get it in asap?

Thanks for any help!

Ahh. Idk that GPA seems a little shaky. Try to get it up some before applying and you should be good. If you are interested in engineering then Purdue would be your place. IU doesn’t offer it.

Why do you want to go to IU if you’re interested in engineering? Apply to Purdue. You might be able to get in, from your ACT score (this is for both IU and Purdue), but I suggest showing that you’re interested in attending that college. It helps a lot.

PS if you do decide to apply to IU, they don’t require an essay. They just ask for a personal statement on the application. I don’t know about Purdue though.

Try to apply by Nov. 1st for Purdue (early action deadline); to get into honors college (and get scholarships) for purdue or IU you have to apply by Nov. 1st I believe. For Purdue you have to complete the common application essay.
