Help me get on DC++!!

I have a MAC and I downloaded the program. I enter my IP, but I don't know my port #. I changed the number by mistake and I dont remember it. I am connected with my ethernet cable.

DC++ will only work on campus right ? not aways from it ?

you can try to reinstall it, i am not familiar with this program so i cant e of too much help

yeah i thought dc++ only works if you’re on the rutgers campus.

DC++ isn’t up yet anyways.

Wouldn’t your port number be the last 4 digits after your IP address?
Like xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:yyyy where y is your port number?

That and I thought you couldn’t use DC++ with Mac, you needed Shakespeer or whatever.

They have the program for Mac. I am connected via the ethernet cable @ Rutgers. DC++ isn’t up? Do you know when it will come online?

Does DC++ and ShakesPeer work the same way? So like everything on DC++ is also on ShakesPeer?

the rutgers dc++ network is down…should be up soon

http://ruxan.com/

ShakesPeer is the DC client for Mac. I use port 1412. Ruxan isn’t up yet but I found another ryangravener.com:1766 it should work

try using the new address:

wmwm.us:1766

^ if it’s not ruxan doesn’t it count towards the bandwidth limit?

^ It doesn’t matter which address you use in DC++ – it won’t count greatly towards the bandwidth.

^^^^^^correct!

I must say I do feel stupid right now… where do you type in these addresses? And how do you connect to them…

go to favorite hubs and click new and then type in the address, then double click on it in the list to connect.
