I'm sooo depressed! because I really want to go to Georgetown or Cornell. I have perfect gpa and other extra curriculars and assuming that I get decent scores in ACT and SAT II...

should i just start looking at other schools? =((

For Cornell and Gtown, you’re in the acceptable range.

What race are you?

You’re like in the 70%ile of all the applicants, based on what I know, but you should check the exacts for each school (their 50%ile SAT score, 75%ile, 25%ile, etc)

Of course these schools have an acceptance rate of like 20%, so they’d “ideally” take the top 20%ile. But you said you have perfect GPAs and good ECs, I say you’re fine, you’re looking at a good chance at either school. Not perfect, but this SAT score makes you still competitive; it didn’t drop you out of the competitive pool.

Are you a senior?

Anyways, look at other schools, but fear not young fellow, if your ECs and GPA are top notch as you say they are, then you are doing okay.

I’m an asian so, that score isn’t really good… (I think…) =(
I’m a junior… but do you think I have at least a chance?? because I think, if you want to get into Cornell, you should have at least 2200+…(although collegeboard.com says I’m in the “range”…=((

There are still around six more test dates before your SAT career should be over. Consider retaking it if you feel that your scores can be improved upon.

Oh your not a senior! Look man. Get some SATII’s done b4 summer, and in the summer just go all out!! Then take Oct. SAT senior year. Get 2100+ and you’re competitive, and have a good good chance. I’d bet 50$ that you’d get in. Get a 2200+ and you’re super competitive, I’d bet 100$ that you’d get in. get a 2300+ and I say you’re in 100%.
