im an international student and would like aid.

please suggest some backup schools for me. i was thinking maybe uva. what do ull think ?

What are your reach and match schools?

You have great stats, but I think UVA is not really a safety for an int’l student, and it doesn’t award FA to int’ls.

UVa - International Students
Student Financial Services does not award financial aid to international or foreign students. Students may apply for alternative loan programs that are available from private financial institutions.

How much can your family pay towards your education? How much aid would you qualify for based on family income?

You need to figure out how much FA you’d qualify for (based on income/assests) and then choose safety schools that give aid to int’ls. Many/most safeties don’t meet need, so would your family take out loans for your education?

heres my current list.

brown
columbia
cornell
northwestern
carnegie
uva
nyu
bowdoin
middlebury
swathmore
vassar

im not asking for aid in any of the above schools. i dont mid pying full if its for a decent college thatll get me a good job after graduation.

OK Good. When you said that you “would like aid,” it sounded like you needed aid. but, since you can pay, it’s unlikely you would have qualified for much anyway. :)

So, you want some safety schools - you’ll likely have to pay for those, too. What is your likely major?
