<p>I am a soon to be graduate of a community college in New York with a fantastic reputation. With only three credits left until I graduate with an Associates in Liberal Arts/General Studies it is finally time to start looking to other schools. Being a bystander to the college application process back in high school, I have little understanding of what I can do transfer wise with the grades and accolades I've accumulated at my CC.</p>
<p>Who I am academically:</p>
<ul>
<li>3.8 GPA</li>
<li>Two honor's society merits and Dean's list 4/5 semesters (one of the honor's merits only go to students who maintain a 3.5 for three or more semesters).</li>
<li>Recipient of a prestigious local scholarship that entails obligations such as 10 hours of community service per semester, 5-10 service learning requirements, attendance at college's cultural events, and any and all other obligations the scholarship coordinator can think of during the course of the academic year.</li>
<li>While I studied Liberal Arts the majority of my time at my school was spent excelling in their theater program (which you do not have to be a major to participate in) this includes:
> 5 main stage college productions
> 4 national collegiate festival competitions
> One of which I won the region competition, was invited to the national competition and won 1st place (national champion)</li>
<li>Member of the schools Speech and Debate team
> Entailed traveling to five different states and two other countries with over ten collegiate competitions in LA, CHI, PHO, Toronto, Rome (to name a few)</li>
<li>Awarded a prestigious award for student excellence at the state level (SUNY)</li>
<li>Teachers Assistant/Assistant Instructor for a college class at my two year institution</li>
<li>Two outstanding student achievement awards from my college</li>
<li>Studied abroad in Spain summer 2013</li>
<li>Served as a model for my scholarship's postcard, had an article written about me in the schools newspaper, modeled for the school on two other occasions and was featured on their brochures and facebook page (it might matter hahaha).</li>
<li>Native American enough to be put down as Native American</li>
</ul>
<p>So this is what I would want to convey to potential admissions offices.</p>

What kinds of schools are A STRETCH?
What kinds of schools are A JOKE?</p>
<p>Any and all advice would be extremely beneficial as I embark on this journey of transferring.
If anyone is wondering, I may pursue a BFA in Acting, however, that major is 80% audition and 20% grades for most schools and I may only apply to the top schools as a prayer.</p>
