Help me learn to read! (overthinking syndrome)

Hey! I was scoring close to 700 reading (including 730 once) on my 1st SAT practice tests, then fell to 650 by my last practice test & then score 600 on the real test.

Anyone else have a problem w/ overthinking the questions (& then managed to get out of it)? What did you do?

It's frustrating to know I might've scored 100 points better if I didn't spend all those hrs studying!

Its not overthinking..
It's the environment at which u take the test..

YOu take practices at home or at school w/o worrying
You take real tests at a testing center under stress.

I have that same exact problem...what i do know is automatically go with my first instinct

"know" to "now"

It is overthinking..even my practice test scores went down 80 points.

Why do you blame your poor performance on the time you spent studying?

There's really no way to combat pre-test nervousness; just learn to relax and get into some sort of "zone."
