Hello, I am a high school sophomore(male) about to go on to junior year. I want to go to a four year institution. I am a new jersey resident, middle class, white, and will need financial aid.

My stats: PSAT:M:580 CR: 500
GPA: 3.45
EC: World Language Club
I plan on taking 1 AP and 4 honors classes junior year. I also am planning on boosting my SAT scores.

Criteria: Looking for schools in mid atlantic/northeast/possibly southeast.
Looking for a liberal arts college with a strong pre-med program/advising. I will need financial aid.

Thank you for the help in advance.

Even though you are a rising junior, you should really get that PSAT up. You’d be aiming for mid-tier liberal arts colleges at best with those scores.

Chubs - Welcome to the game. You’re very smart to be looking at your prospects now, when you have time to really improve them!

There is no shortage of LAC’s with strong pre-med programs (and more importantly, success in placing students in medical schools). Ursinus comes to mind, and your stats are a match. But your requirement for financial aid is a problem best solved with better stats. Fortunately, you have plenty of time to accomplish that. Good luck!
