Okay so I'm currently 5'7 and weigh in at 130. I'd like to weigh around 110 to 115. I'd like to lose this weight over the course of about two months. I'm wondering if anyone here has any experience with a good diet/exercise plan.

It’s normal to be around 120 at 5’7 and you’re just 130. What are you on? O_o Anorexic ftl.

i’m 5’4 and went from 160 to 130 by becoming a vegetarian and eating 1500 calories a day.

you have to count exactly, well for me at least. otherwise i’d cheat myself.

I wouldn’t say you need to lose weight. However, if you are feeling poorly about yourself, try going on a walk everyday. Exercise tends to make people feel better about themselves and it enables you to stay in shape too:)

That is a very good height to weight ratio. Why do you need to lose weight?

You don’t need to lose weight! I’m 130 lbs and 5’2" and I’m in the healthy range albeit on the heavier side of average but still, I’m in the healthy range and I don’t look fat. I think if you were 5’7" and 110ish you would look sickly. You’re perfectly fine!

Run run run.

Actually, running is my answer to everything, so take it for what it’s worth.

You probably don’t need to lose weight, but maybe you need to tone up by gaining lean muscle and losing fat. But, if you want to actually try to lose weight, I would lose no more than 10 more lbs and that’s kind of pushing it. Eat healthier than you already do, still eat a good number of calories and get some cardio in at least 5 times a week. By the way…

5’7, 130: 20.4 BMI
5’7, 120: 18.8 BMI

Healthy Range: 18.5 - 25.0

You really are healthy though… message me if you want more info on toning muscles or cardio workouts.

I think you’re a healthy weight, but exercise is always good. I really recommend biking. I recently got a road bike, and it’s awesome. It’s a better workout than cycling because those racing bikes are easier to keep up a good pace. Just bike up and down some hills, and then hit the gym or something.

The best way to lose weight is eat healthy (not necessarily less), and fill your day with smaller, more frequent meals, interspersed with workouts. Basically, you should try to quicken your metabolism. Cut all the junk food and sugary/salty foods. And have a workout that includes both cardio and weight lifting or strength training of some sort. From what I have read, when you work your muscles, your body is burning calories for a while even after the work out. And if you keep up a consistent work out and eat healthy, I think you can reach your goal.

Um, what? 110 at 5’7" is underweight. I remember when my sister, who was 5’7" then, was that skinny, and she’s muscular so she weighs more anyway, and it was not cute.

I didn’t realize how low 110 was. Yeah, I guess 120 would be better. It’s probably not even pounds I want to lose, I just want my thighs a bit less “squishy” and my stomach a little bit flatter. Thanks for all the tips. Sounds like I’m actually going to have to exercise.

raiderade you are a female, right? cause I am 5’7’’ male and I am a lot heavier than that lol (but i am fat)

I’m 5’7" (and a half
) and I weigh around 118-120. I think 120 is a pretty normal/healthy weight for your height, but you shouldn’t starve yourself to get there. I’ve been working out 5 days a week for 2.5 hours (volleyball) over this summer. Exercise is crucial for healthy weight loss :]

I’m not sure if you should exercise with the mindset of “I want to lose weight”, because I’ve found that it doesn’t really work. Instead, focus on toning your muscles. I don’t think I’ve lost any weight this summer, but that’s okay since I feel a lot healthier/stronger :] Muscle weighs more than fat anyways, so your exact weight shouldn’t bother you as long as you have the guns (to impress the ladies). haha
Kidding.

I’m 5’8" (female) and 110, I don’t think that’s as skinny as some here think but anyway, find an exercise you enjoy doing. Chances are you won’t stick with it if it’s something you’re forcing yourself to do but hate. I love swimming so I’m in a pool every chance I get.

Run Raiderade, Run!!!

you don’t need to lose weight. I think you are perfectly fine. I am 5’3 ish and like 107… so I think you are fine. But if you really want to, eat 6 little meals every day to keep your metabolism going. Eating eggs, nuts (don’t overdue it, a handful is enough), and apples can help curb your hunger. Btw, for the nuts, it is because they have tons of calories. However, they are healthy. Also, you can excercise by riding a bike, doing chores, running, or doing a favorite activity.

Yeah, I think you are pushing it if you lose ten pounds- worry less about flab. its normal- stick thin is icky.

I’d be careful, you’re at a good weight and at this age more than ever you’ll want the extra nutrition for everything to develop properly. I’d work on toning up if anything and not worry too much about weight so long as you’re within your range. Don’t lose more than 5 lbs. though.

Simple, you’re only 10 pounds over weight. Just work out and convert that fat to muscle

justintsn, she is not overweight. Be careful with word choice.
