I'm hoping to hear from UConn very soon. I'm going to call them monday and make sure everythign is okay. Same with delaware. What school should i go to for Pre-Pharmacy.

Any help would be appreciated.

Did you ever get any advice? I 'd be interested in knowing - I am in the same boat for next year.

why did u choose those schools? do u not know about any others?

Going to a school with an actual pharmacy program is usually a good idea if for nothing else you can start acclimating yourself with current students and professors at the school of pharmacy.

So Texas Tech, Buffalo, and Temple would be good choices. All three have quality pharmacy schools.

I know there are rankings for pharmacy schools out there, but they are bunk. Some of the best schools in the country were left off and some of the most mediocre were ranked high. A PharmD is a PharmD. Nobody in the real world cares what school you graduated from. I have friends in my class that beat out kids from UCSF, Texas, Kentucky, and other top ranked programs for residency spots one-on-one. Employers REALLY don't care where you graduated from. With the job market how it is, as long as you have a pulse and a license, they'll give you six figs. Extra if you are actually good at the job. I had district managers calling me before I graduated I'd never heard of before...God knows how they got my number...all of them offering me a job. It's crazy.

Where are you from? Cost should be a major consideration, too. Paying in-state tuition is, obviously, better than paying out of state tuition. Personally, I did my undergrad at a community college. Cost me $4000 for both years, books included- it got me into pharmacy school on a shoestring.

Pharmacy Schools are much better at looking a the individual rather than ******** like what school they happened to take some cookie-cutter biology 101 course at. Something I appreciate.
