Help me make my decision (sorry...UCLA vs UCB again)

haha yeah…I just keep thinking of things I want to add.

p.s- today I’m leaning towards Berkeley.

Today is a UCLA day for me.

I wonder which of us will SIR first!

Vote now!! lol.

janethedoe

arcadefire

emilsinclair

Wow ok I should be studying for my Bio final but this is so much more interesting! No vote from me just wanted to say that all of you guys are amazing & seriously there is no bad decision… Sometimes the hardest decisions to make in life are ones that have positive outcomes.

If I were you guys and still this torn w/ 10 days left I would try to visit both campus’s again? I dunno… spend a day there and see if you can see yourself there for 2 years. This is a BIG DEAL but again, there is no bad decision.

Good luck.

I think I’m kind of oblivious to the competition factor because I dont have enough knowledge about it or heard any serious “backstabbing” stories. Is the competition really that bad?

I will give 20$ to the person that can guess the order in which we SIR, AND where we SIR to lol. I promise.

After briefly discussing this with a friend on facebook, I think I know what the right decision is for me…

what is that Nicky!!!

PM me ASAP

lol

lol you’d just have to check my facebook!! haha jk.

You see I’m hesitant to say anything for 2 reasons:

I don’t want to influence u one way or another.

I will probably end up flip-flopping all over the place again anyway lmao.

As of tonight -this day- I know where I’m leaning.

lol i wouldnt be influenced…i swear.

where are you leaning today? tell me that! hahaha

Every day I change my freaking mind. But man, Bowles is the most beautiful dorm hall in the history of dorm halls. I don’t want to live in an all-male dorm, but god these are sweet. http://image04.webshots.com/4/6/49/90/58764990rIdwpd_fs.jpg

woops, that last link doesn’t work… http://farm3.static.■■■■■■■■■■/2304/2368526373_be5b166e0a_o.jpg

hey im pretty indecisive here too!

how are we today my indecisive pack?

where are we leaning towards today?

lol

today i parked behind a car with a UCLA decal w/ a cute lil Joe.

then i drove past a street called…you guessed it…Berkeley Ave.

i see both these places everywhere, i even see their enemies.
yesterday i parked next to a car decked out in Trojan crap and later saw a car with a Stanford Mom decal.

wt f!

its like my internal confusion is being externalized by decals and street signs everywhere i go…lol…

Yeah…me making this decision is pretty hopeless. I say Berkeley seems like the best choice, but my heart just fell in love with UCLA’s campus and environment.

bumped for more…indecision?

UCLA is so amaaaaaazing!

Yeah I know it. I’ve visited UCLA like 4 times but I want to visit just one more time, haha. I’ve loved it each time. I should probably pick it.

Well, man. It depends on what you want for the next 2 years. UCLA imo definitely has the better ‘college environment.’ It’s so cool being in Westwood, and the campus architecture is great. I also felt like their student union area was far better than Berkeley’s. But lets not forget that Berkeley is revamping lower Sproul with a pretty big multi-million dollar project (24 study area and such). They plan to start this Fall, right?

Had I got into UCLA, I still would have more than enough reasons to choose Cal. Hell, if I wanted to be in my ideal environment, I would have went to Davis, home of arguably the best college town of the UCs. But environment is not the deal breaker. For me, I am excited that people in countries across the world will recognize my degree as something special and rare. I am excited to work with professors who are at the top of their fields. (Just for interest’s sake, you should check out [webcast.berkeley | UC Berkeley Video and Podcasts for Courses & Events](<a href=“Webcast and Legacy Course Capture | Research, Teaching, and Learning”>http://webcast.berkeley.edu/) and listen to a couple lectures of classes you plan to take. For me, this really got me excited because these lecturers are far better than those that I have encountered at SC).

Call me idealistic, but I know that Berkeley will provide me with a world-class education and drive me to reach new limits.

yep i’m still batting for the indecisive team.

arcadefire dude…lol…we only have like 7 days…oh shiz.

Berkeley has better podcasts than UCLA. I’ll admit it! I downloaded a whole anthropology course! Whomever was lecturing sounds awesome!

cali trumpet: Yeahhhhhhhhh I mean, I realize that Berkeley’s got the whole prestige and recognized around the world thing going for it. But deep down I feel like I just fit in better at UCLA. But maybe I should not think of “fit” as the main concern since it’s only two years…I might as well just go get the best degree possible. On other note, I liked Berkeley’s program for my major a lot better.

Oh it’s definitely a tough decision. I truly wish that only one had accepted me. I had no desire to have to make this decision, haha.
