Oh my god, please calm down. You have 6 months left til you have to apply. This is not absolutely urgent. Anyway...can you give us an idea of what else you're interested in? What kind of social atmosphere do you want? Do you plan to major in science or something else? Is money an issue?

Yeah im going to major in either biology or neuroscience and possibly minor in french. but yeah definitely a major in a science. And yes, ill need financial aid. Im quite..lower class..most of the colleges ive listed have a very high financial aid rate on princeton review though.

oh and i was kidding in my last post lol...
i dunno i thought it was funny...

bump.6789.

Somewhere it states that bumping this many times in a span of like 5 hrs is just crazy and probably against the rules.

In any case, I didnt narrow my college list down till november, so whatever. Just chill out.

think ill bump again nonetheless :).

how about this, could you just like edit my list to what you think i should apply to according to this format: 3 reaches, 3 match, 3 safety...?

Boston U

does this list look pretty well rounded?

anyone????

Hi COlsen573... I believe I've looked at your list before, so some of this might sound repetitive. I'd say your list looks pretty good as it currently stands... you seem to have a nice mix of schools. Before you finalize it, however, I recommend you visit as many of the schools on your list as possible. Visiting is really the best way to decide on whether or not you could see yourself going to a college.

Thanks littleatheist, i think youve been the most helpful so far :)

This has a strong potential to be my final list.
What do you guys think?

Colgate U
Cornell U
Franklin/Marshall C
Northwestern U IL
Rice U
Vassar C
Washington & Lee U
Whitman C

bump......

Vassar is extremely difficult to get into. I would put this in the reach category.

Before you decide on a final list, look at your EA/ED strategy. If you can't apply ED because you need to compare aid offers, be sure you have at least one EA or rolling school to take the pressure off next December.

College Quick Finder on collegeboard.com has a lot of comparison tools - get a grip on costs, distance and difficulty of travel, types of financial aid, etc. Also, take a look at med school placement rates via the college's websites. Although a school like Cornell is known for its tough pre-med, placement rates are very high for the "survivors". If you are up to the challenge, it would offer an excellent education at an in-state price.

Vassar would be extremly easy to get into if you get your SATs to 2200 and maintain a good GPA. My friend who really didnt have good scores, SAT 1950 or so and a decent GPA got in.

i love how two people can tell me competely different things. one says vassar is extremely difficult the other says extremely east. i think vassar shouldnt be a problem. im agreeing more with sweetlax on this one. especially because vassar LOVES the school i go to. they send a representative like twice a year.

"My essay will be phenomenal."

A little cocky perhaps?

no, i had to write an essay to get into this private school. im writing a similar but more extended one to college. they told me that my essay really sold them. no need to make assumptions.

bump...
tell me what you think
Colgate U
Cornell U
Franklin/Marshall C
Northwestern U IL
Rice U
Vassar C
Washington & Lee U
Whitman C

do you guys know any schools similar to washington and lee u, whitman, or franklin and marshall

for some reason these three schools stick out as my favorite..i really cant explain why. what are some similar schools (not geographically).

Pre-med, remember
