My parents refuse to let me visit Wesleyan for their big wesfest thing…I’m at a lost. They really don’t want me to go to Wesleyan. I’m trying to ring up Kenyon, but I feel like all of my arguments are falling on deaf ears.

It isn’t an either-or. You could give up on your dreams for this school, and still keep your dreams for your life. There are many paths.

I know you’re a teenager, but for your own sake, try to ease up a little on the teenage melodrama. You can choose to be happy at any of your schools. Lots of people don’t go to their first choice schools and can learn to be happy, usually with very little trouble.

I can’t make suggestions about schools or programs, but you aren’t dooming yourself to anything no matter what you choose. You’ve got good choices and good funding. I wish you good decisions. :)

Those are advertising weekends, designed to show you the wonderfulness of the school. They are no more honest than TV commercials. I’m not dissing Wesleyan or any other school that has them; I’m just saying that missing out on it is not as big a deal as it seems.

I’d still like to see Wesleyan

I just got an e-mail from Kenyon telling me to call their office. Is there any chance they read this thread and put two and two together? Or am I just being super paranoid?

absolutely go to wes in middleton ct. No comparison, great education, full of artsy kids, awesome film program…so-called Wesleyan mafia a real force in hollywood.

You guys are making my parents hate me! I have decided that going to IWU will be fine, but I’m going to try and reach out and see what I can do with Kenyon and Wesleyan.
