yeah i know it’s really hard to narrow down schools. just try to visit as much as you can! =]

schools like colgate, hamilton, bc, bucknell, villanova, dickinson, gettysburg, and union all have what are, in my opinions, very homogeneous student populations. and all are preppy. visited some of these campuses and felt like all the students walked out of a jcrew magazine… and i didn’t like it.
wesleyan, tufts, vassar, brandeis, skidmore, and uvm are similar to these schools, but i think you might like them better considering they are a bit more diverse and MUCH quirkier.
bigger reaches - cornell, uchicago, swarthmore, haverford. then there’s upenn which is a huge reach for even the most qualified students. all have enough diversity and room for “nerdiness” i think.
overall, i think you would like wesleyan (match), brandeis (match), uvm (safety), uchicago (reach) the best. but all the ones in between are great too…

chance me back… http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/740677-please-chance-me-washu.html

Thanks! That was really helpful. I definitely picked up on the same “preppy-ness” at Colgate, BC, Bucknell, Villanova, Dickinson, Gettysburg and Union… but I didn’t notice that at Hamilton… is Hamilton known for being homogenous and preppy?
