Help me out please!

I used to think I'd be going to a private school, but now it seems to me that more bigger schools offer what I'm looking for... Whether I like it or not.

I'm thinking a school with lots of pretty girls, access to the beach (maybe mountains, or both!), nice climate, good music scene with lots to, good social life (greek life) with some pot smoking, and a beautiful campus where I can learn alot.

I haven't gone on any college trips yet so I'm not really sure where I want to be (probably out west somewhere or down south), I don't know what it would be like being so far away from FL though..

Please throw me suggestions.

my GPA is around 3.2 UW and 3.7 W coming from a top 10 HS in FL.

varsity lacrosse, surfing, community service, good recs, good essays.

29 ACT is my highest score so far, but I'm hoping I can get up to around a 30 or a 1350.

not sure yet how big of a school, used to think like 5k but now not sure if there is enough of a selection of schools this size with everything i'm looking for.

Azusa Pacific: midway between the beach and the mountains. A short car ride to either.

That’s with a little sarcasm. Camp Pendleton Univ. might be a good choice as well.

If I may critique your original post… >>with some pot smoking<< would tell many of us that your plan is to waste your and your parents money.

You may like Pepperdine…

If you’re thinking somewhere in California, I’d say maybe go for one of the UC’s. They’re big but they’re really good schools. UCSC seems to fit your description-- maybe a little more on the nouveau hippie side than what you’re looking for, but definitely great surf.

Loyola Marymount in Cali
University of San Diego

Both above are catholic schools, but what college in cali doesn’t have students who smoke pot?

Hmmm, are you looking for a school or a four-year party?

I don’t see what’s wrong with trying to have a little fun during study. Anyways, UCSC and U of San Diego are both good choices. Other recommendations: U of Miami, UVM, URI. The last having a nickname in our area “You are high” haha.

I just got my sat back.

2070 overall, 580 reading 740 math 750 writing.

You’re from Florida? UF and UMiami, maybe FSU, USF, UCF but they may be a bit too big for your taste.

I forgot, Flagler College may be a good fit. They also have more girls on campus too, which is a plus. You may also like New College of Florida.

I’m almost positive I want to go out of state

would I have any shot at nyu??

Not a with a 3.2 UW

my friend got in with a 3.3uw and a 30 act

my hs is really tough the weighted gpas are much much higher than uw

Never assume that you’ll get into a college because someone with similar stats did, your not that person, what made them unique, doesnt necessarily make you unique, college admission is more than just numbers.
