IMHO, Princeton is a safer bet. Williams is very unpredictable with its results. And it has a measly international student population.
The chances of nban92 getting accepted at Princeton is a hell lot more than in Williams =P You can bet on that one! =P

ok, err… relax?

@nban92, you might want to check out Harvey Mudd College (fondly called HMC) before fixating here. They have a good economics conc, and its a nice LAC. They offer aid to intls too, and you have a fair shot at it I think.

Ah, a very nice profile. Definitely stands a fair chance at the Ivies. UPenn, Cornell, Yale, Columbia, Princeton and Dartmouth feel very feasible.

The above conversation seems pretty interesting too. Williams, huh? Well, columbialove here sure does have a strong point about the “unpredictability” of Williams. God knows what sort of twisted admissions process they follow. Truth be told, I had Williams on my college list till a few days back too. Deleted it just recently Counselor + parental apprehension.

Between Williams and Prince, I’d pick the latter. Also, its a problem because you’re asking for full aid. Williams is now need-aware, unfortunately. In fact, the only girl who attended the college from India last year didn’t get full aid either. She barely received half (20k I think), so yeah, it feels sadly discouraging :/

collegebored11, LOL! Harvey Mudd’s a pure science college, it only has majors for either the sciences or engineering. Not for me
perfectpixie, thanks! We always welcome volunteers, do contact us if you or anyone you know is interested.
Hmm. Put me in two minds again. Princeton? Sure, why not! It’s a reach, but but nothing like trying. I’d still like to apply to one more college. JHU seems great, just that their average aid award’s a mere 25k. Somehow Amherst keeps playing in my head; their LJST major is simply AMAZING.

Ah, 'tis the time of confusion and complexity, mate. I’d suggest that you discuss it out with your parents and your counselor. CC will inevitably put you in two minds. Always.

My final advice is Princeton and JHU. Between JHU and Williams, JHU is safer since Williams is definitely a higher reach, and your aid package won’t be great at either places.

As for Amherst, Idk. IMO, its tougher than Williams :P

Lastly, good luck!

It was a wise decision to post on cc I’m a lot clearer in my mind now.

Thanks a lot! You guys were a BIG help :D

Good luck, nban92!

So, whats your final college list like?
