Yes, sorry, this is another one of those dreaded chances threads. I just really need some unbiased advice from people who've been where I'm at right now. I've talked to my counselors and teachers and for the most part they encouraged me to attend college in state (KS). But my APUSH teacher saw me excelling at more prestigious universities. Here are my stats:

GPA: 4.00 unweighted
ACT: 29 *Plan to retake w/ ACT writing
PSAT: 198
Classes: 4 honors, 1 AP (US History, Score: 4)
I had planned on taking AP Chem, AP English, AP Calc, maybe AP Physics but my school may not even offer them due to lack of interest.

I'm also involved in a health career academy that prepares students for jobs in the medical field. I became CPR and first aid certified through the class. I've also been able to get over 20 hours of shadowing experience at my local hospital. Upcoming senior year will include training to become a certified nurse aide and certified medical assisstant. Upon completion, I'll be able to obtain a job in a health care setting.

So, does anyone have any advice? I want to apply to out of state colleges but I don't know if I should go private or public. As you can probably tell, I'm interested in the medical field. I like to be a physician. My first choice for med school would probably be the University of Kansas Medical Center but ironically I don't want to have to do my undergrad there. I know I'm a longshot for any of the Ivies but my teacher will me mad at me if I don't apply to at least one. Which one would I probably do best at? Also, financial aid is a big priority for me. Thanks in advance to anyone who responds and again, sorry for being another scared, insecure talented high school student, lol.

Also, I've been weighing my options of taking AP Psychology or using my guest scholarship to take General Psych. Doe anyone have any opinions one way or the other?
