help me!! penn state vs purdue vs u of Iowa vs U of minnesota in business major

I am an international student, a Korean, and have been admitted to these four schools. All are business majors.
But in minnesota, I am not admitted to carlson school of management but to business major in College of edu and human development(CEHD.) What school do you recommend?

Were you admitted to Smeal at Penn State? Then that’s the one I’d pick. Great program, best alumni network, about 4-5 hours from NYC, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington DC.

hmm… but for international students, pennstate is way more expensive than minnesota. If I am to study business all four years, choosing minnesota is kind of dangerous. But if I am to transfer to another major within college years, I will choose minnesota and I consider I move to Communication study but not sure. Anyway thank you for helping me.

I’d go to Iowa or Penn State. It’s all about the student not the school.

How easy is it to transfer from CEHD to Carlson?

if your financial budget is tight, choose minnesota and transfer your major in carlson school.

^There are usually conditions to transferring from one lower-ranked school to one higher-ranked school within a university. Sometimes they’re simple, sometimes they’re onerous. I agree UMN Carlson would be the best pick, but right now that’s not the offer OP has, and OP must do due diligence to ensure such a transfer isn’t too difficult.

the average gpa of transfer students who have moved to carlson is 3.8, which is one of the highest scores…
p.s anybody has never mentioned Purdue. Is it not as good as those colleges I have admitted to?

@myos1634 - please contact Carlson Admissions and ask them that question but, my understanding is that it is unfortunately not too easy to transfer but many certainly do.

^not for me, for OP. And, yes, transferring from one the lowest-ranked school w/in a U to a very high ranked school is very difficult, which is why I don’t think it’s OP’s best choice.

Oh yes sorry, for OP

Thank you guys, but one more thing to ask. I’m considering transfer to communication study but not sure. If I am to change my major, or not to study business all 4 years, is it the best for me to pick minnesota?
P.s how about purdue, not as good as those schools?
