Help me pick a school!

I have no idea as to what kinds of schools I should be applying to as far as matches.

Based on GPA and Test Scores alone can you guys give me some decent matches?

GPA

Freshman Year: 3.08
Sophomore Year: 3.333
Junior Year: 3.8333

In order to bring my GPA up i took some online courses: Economics , AP Macroeconomics, AP Art History, AP Microeconomics, Honors PreCalculus.

Right now assuming that i finish AP Micro and PreCalc in time, I will have a 3.5 or 3.51 UW GPA.

I am in IB...hardest possible courseload with classes on the side.

I am taking the ACT in September and October and I am taking SAT Is in October and SAT IIs in November

I have already taken the SAT I twice:

1st sitting: 770 CR/640 M/680 W : 2090
2nd sitting: 640 CR/640 M/710 W : 1990

Super Score: 770 CR/640 M/ 710 W : 2120

Though there is a lot of testing still to be done, I would like to know what kind of schools are matches for me with these stats. Also, for some Top 20 schools what would be some SAT I/ACT/SAT II scores that would make me a much better candidate?

Thanks for everything

What state are you from? Do you need financial aid? What do you want to major in?

I haven’t picked a major but I do need financial aid, I live in the state of Florida.

i need advice.

Well, you need to give us more information. First of all, what are you interested in studying? I realize that you haven’t picked a major yet (at most schools, you don’t have to pick a major until your sophomore year of college), but what general areas are you interested in studying? Secondly, what characteristics do you desire in a college (i.e. type of weather, location, student body size, frats/sororities, etc.). Thirdly, I would recommend that you do a little research on your own and you will find some great college matches. Pick up a copy of the Princeton Review’s Best 369 Colleges or Fiske’s Guide to Colleges.

Look at your in-state schools. They should have better financial aid for you.

If you get your stats up (2200 SAT/3.6 GPA) and can pay for it, there is virtually nothing that U of Michigan is weak at, and they offer everything imaginable. Go there.

No offense, you either love it or hate it, but have you looked at UF? I’m a senior w/ a 3.78(UW)/6.18(W), and I’m goin to UF for 09 Outstanding Afro-American Scholars Program nxt wk. Not crazy about UF, but its a darn good school.

OHKID. I know you love Michigan, but even a 3.6 gpa from OOS is marginal to gain entry. The OP would be much better advised to try to gain entry into U-F or FSU.

I’d prefer a school in California or up north.

Any good schools that match what I’ve done or what I could do in the near future?
