I am currently a junior in highschool, and I just finished my first semester of it. My grades this semester are very bad because I was overally stressed with my new pharmacy technician job and internship. I ended up taking a c in honors pre calc and a C in APUSH. I have never gotten c’s before and i am very worried. My GPA last year was a 4.98 cumulative and I am in NHS. I am taking the ACT soon and I should get at least a 30. I want to get into UIC college or pre pharmacy to become a specialized clinical pharmacist later. Do you think my chances are gone now with the two c’s?! Please be honest.
Pre-pharmacy is just an advising path. You will have to apply to LAS or something like that for pre-reqs. Pharmacy admissions do not care about high school record. Only your college record will matter.
Thank you! But do you think a university such as UIC will accept what I got?

You should be accepted into LAS as long as you don’t have any major issues for the remainder of your Junior year. You do realize most students in UIC’s pharmacy program have a bachelors. If your grades are good enough and you are committed, you can look into the GPPA program for pharmacy. https://gppa.uic.edu/
