help me please... so very very confused

K so I'm currently starting to go for my accounting degree at a local community college. I start classes tomorrow but I want to also try to get into U of M's Ross which means that I would have to drop these classes and try to get into LSA at U of M first (because these classes don't transfer to ross). questions:

should I just try going to a different business school for my undergrad or try ross? because ross only has a bba and i've heard that getting a bba and an mba (what I eventually want to get) is pretty pointless so I was thinking about trying to transfer to Michigan State and then trying to transfer to a top school

Is there any other routes you guys think I should take?

I'm very very confused, going to U of M for Ross doesn't guarantee that I'll get in and if I don't I would have pretty much wasted a year of school and a good chunk of money, while going to State if I'm accepted will let me get a bachelors in accounting and then I can try to transfer to other universities. Obviously an undergrad from Ross would look better but I don't know if I can risk a year of going for something pointless. Is there any way that going to U of M and not getting into Ross won't be as big of a deal that I think it is?(are there any moves that I could do that could still keep me on track?)

fuuuuuuuuuuu...

any other schools I could try transferring to that would have good reputations (and not as crazy rules as Ross) for transferring to top schools?

In Accounting, what it really counts is that CPA certificate. And if you get good grades(must be 3.5 or better) you can get in Big 4 upon graduation, a state school will do. Ross graduates may get a little bit advantage, but not much.

Yeah, I figured that much but if I go back to school n get an MBA I would rather have gotten my accounting degree from a good university to use as leverage to try to get into a top school

actually I’m thinkin about tryin to go to MSU, kickin ass there, getting some work experience and hopefully be good enough to get into Ross for a Macc. Then if I want to get an MBA, that’s when I could try to get in an Ivy.

or is transferring into Macc at Ross just as hard as transferring into a BBA?
