The reasons behind the service academies being out of reach is that you made no indication of your physical condition, leadership involvement in team sports, or intended major. All of those are extremely important to the admissions departments at the academies.

In US Service Academies, there are such things as Tier I, Tier II, and Tier III Majors. Tier I Majors include specific engineering specialties such as nuclear engineering. Tier II Majors include broad engineering subjects and physical science/mathematics majors. Tier III Majors include everything else. 85% of successful applicants to either school apply with Tier I & II Major decisions.

You also did not give your progress on congressional nomination. You need to apply to not only your district representative but both of your senators to improve your chances of getting a Phase I nomination. If given that, you will go to a strenuous 1-2 Week trip to either academy to undergo vigorous physical and mental pushing. They will try to break you. Once those results are in, you will be given a Phase II nomination. Only when you have a Phase II nomination are your test scores, ECs, and grades even looked at.
