You have so many great options in CA. What are you interesting in studying? Do you have a preference for socal or nocal?

no i dont have a preference . i want to study computer science or something revolving around that but i also have interest in the medical field .

Lots to consider. Are you fixed on going to a 4 year or willing to go to a Jr College for two years. How do you plan to pay for college. In CA public schools aren’t too overpriced, but room an board is usually a bit pricey.

I personally went to SF State University and got a degree in International Business. They had a really good Computer Information Systems degree at the time I went.

I was similar to you. I wanted to do Computer Science and Jr College totally weeded that out of me. By my 5th programming class my brain was like jello.

My Jr College was De Anza in Cupertino, which had an extremely high transfer rate to UCs.

Post this in the CA threads and you are likely to get some better suggestions than I can offer you. I am somewhat educated on CA UC’s, but do not know enough about the Cal States to offer you good advice. You have the stats to get into some of the UC’s, so I would look at UC Riverside, UC Santa Cruz, and UCSB, UCI (?). Start getting the UC application filled in now. It’s very time consuming. Start writing the long essays as soon as possible. The UC deadline will be here quickly!

Ask for more Cal State suggestions here:

Sonoma State would be a good safety for you. Good luck!

thanks for the replies
ya im fixed on going straight to a 4 year
im filling out scholarships to try and get some money
i had a friend that graduated last year and had i believe a 4.0 with a similar sat score and hawaii gave him 50% tuition. If i could do something like that it would be cool too.
