Help me please!

I got a B in a one unit course that is specifically for my university. I am planning on transferring to USC. It really was a joke class and I don't think many people got As. Yet I did well in all my other courses, do I still have a good standing?

more specifically i guess if this course is only specific for my school, will other schools even count it as part of my gpa if they dont accept the coursework?

obviously any grade you get will be counted to your gpa

a B in and of itself won’t doom you, but it certainly will hurt your chances…to what degree it hurts depends on how many other courses you have taken/what year you are in school, the strength of your school, and whether the rest of your record is stellar and suggests that that one grade is an aberration

I wouldn’t fret over a single B. I think too many people assume that they need a perfect 4.0 to transfer. You can be very competitive with a GPA in the mid 3’s or higher. At this point you need to focus on what is still within your control (Essays, Recommendations, ECs).

Don’t worry about 1 unit with B grade. It’s not a big deal.
