I plan on double majoring in Vocal Performance, and adding on a French major second semester. Also, if anybody can reccomend any safeties with a good music program, as well as a French dept, It would be much appreciated!

Thanks for your time!

Anyone?(Only bumping because it has been a week)

I think the reason that you're not getting much of a response is that most people here live and breath Ivies and consequently don't know much about the schools you have listed.

I think that you have moderate grades and SATs and your ECs are also decent. (Allstate choir is impressive.) You're a good candidate for a mid-level school, but I cannot judge your chance because of my own lack of knowledge.

I do wish that people knew more about non Ivies, but I really do appreciate your help! The honesty is very welcome!

The University of North Texas has the largest music department of any US school, IIRC. And it's in-state for you, so it might be a good safety.

UNT does have a good music program, which I feel I would be able to make it into. My only issue with it is that it is too large of a school for me. I may choose to apply simply because it is a safety.

UHa is a fine school, you'll get in

Thank you!

I am only familiar with U of Hartford, and based on academics I believe you are in easily. If you need to perform, I have no idea.

I would like to suggest that you look into Suny Purchase as well.

Ok. I've already sent in my applications to Hartford and Otterbein. I got a call yesterday, and I have been accepted into Otterbein! I'm very excited

Congratulations! You should be excited. I am not familiar with this school, but I have heard the name a couple of times.
