Hiiiiii!!!! I am currently a high school senior, and it is my dream to work in International Business with a concentration in finance in Europe; however, I also want to major in french. No matter what, the french major is staying. But I cannot decide whether or not to major in finance or international business as an undergrad. I really want to to my grad school in international business at the Darla Moore School of Business at USC. But, I do not know if I would benefit more from getting a undergrad degree in finance or int'l business. Consulting, or investment banking would be my field of work, just on an int'l level. Thanks in advance!!

What is your question?

Double major in French and Business is a load of fun here.

A language will definitely help.

Besides that I have no idea what you’re trying to say here.

Very few colleges offer a major in Finance or International Business. Michigan offers a major in Business. You can choose to take more electives in one or the other, but it won’t make a big difference in your job search. Either way, you will be approached as a Ross student. This said, I think Finance is a more technical/hands on sub-field and with therefore probably serve you more when you hit the workforce.

Ross students can easily double major in a foreign language.

I am sorry, I posed my question the wrong way. Should I major in finance opposed to Int’l Business in undergrad? I plan to do my grad school at Wharton, for there GLobal Analysis MBA with a concentration in finance. So, would it benefit me more to major in finance, or int’l business.

@Alexandre: will Ross cast me in a positive light on the int’l level?
