So any future advice, things I can improve?
Please don’t say that I’m better of going somewhere else. I want to know what I need to improve and I will do my best. I still have approx 1 year worth of time left to build up.

Hi there! I got an interview+waitlist for Sophie Davis (but didn’t get accepted because I probably didn’t do well on my interview) but I can certainly give you advice on what you need to overcome the first hurdle of getting an interview. First of all, your extracurriculars are impressive, and hopefully the plans you made about things such as shadowing surgeons, starting a medical club, and volunteering at a hospital do come to pass. It’s very important to have backgrounds and experience in medical areas because those are the main extracurriculars they look for. It’s also good to see that you are taking APs, and hopefully you do well on them because those also help your application. Subject SATs are also good things to take, which I did. They are important in helping your application competitiveness.

Your PSAT I must say is not very good. I strongly suggest that improving your SAT score becomes one of your top priorities for the future because you have to work towards raising it to at LEAST the mid-1300s (approximately). Remember that the applicants for Sophie are very competitive and have very impressive scores. But you are still only a junior so you’ve got time to improve on that. I also strongly suggest you work hard at improving your GPA. The average for all Sophie matriculants is around a 95-96.

The strongest advice I can give you which is the MOST important is doing a REALLY great job in your essays. That’s what shows the admissions office your personality and your values, and that’s what differentiates you from all the other hundreds and hundreds of applications they receive.

BEST of luck!!!
