help me select my final destination

well my apping season is over
Im basically down to choosing bw UPenn n NYU for MS CS
I have no inclination to get into research and want to hit the job market asap
for me its basically bw UPenn's selectivity vs NYU's location
Wat do u guys think??

… that if you’re so anti-research, you probably shouldn’t be going to grad school right now? no matter how short or long your program is, you should actually WANT to be there.

i dont think that everyone who goes in for an MS is interested in research. Many people like me opt for an MS degree to ensure better job opportunities once they graduate.I think that most people who would be really inclined towards research would opt for Phd.Anyways thats beside the point i started this thread.I dont wana start a Research vs Job war

“Taught” Master’s degrees are perfectly valid options. I imagine they’re a lot more frequent than the thesis-based Master’s, for that matter. It makes sense especially for an area like Computer Science.

Have you checked with either’s department to see if they can offer placement statistics? Or the school’s career website? I know they can often be really helpful in letting prospective students know what their degree can lead to.

Selectivity of schools should be the least of your focuses.
You should worry about what it has to offer and apply to both schools to see what happens. You should also not be in a rush to hit the job market yet. I think before you go to graduate school, planning will be essential.
