When did the arts change the way you perceive the world?

That is the question. At first glance, I know vaguely what sort of question is being asked, But can someone elaborate. What exactly is meant by the "arts." Please give me specific type of examples. I know its completely subjective but what would your personal answer be? Thanks

Talk about some childhood experience with art (either drawing, dancing, music, etc) and describe how you learned that not everything was about being precise and realistic, how being loose and creative is much more important. Lump in a ton of interesting filler, and you’ll be good to go.

It can be a play that you saw that made you think about a time in history and how important it was.

It can be the first painting that you saw where you realized that art means different things to different people and what that painting meant to you.

It can be a song that made you think differently, or a time you sang a song/acted in a play/created a piece of art that made you realize something about yourself or the world.

“The arts have been a part of my life since my earliest memories, so I have no idea how I might have perceived the world without arts.”

Surely all of the arts haven’t been part of your life since your earliest memories. You could think about when you became aware of one particular art and then write about that experience. Another option: Write about what your life might have been like if you hadn’t been exposed to the arts from an early age.

Like the other posters said, art can be anything. When I first read the question, I thought it was really boring but its actually really creative. You can talk about anything that works through a medium- almost anything can be art.
