Help me with a decision

Hello!
I'm applying to Johns Hopkins RD and really want to get into the biomedical engineering program there. As you will see below, I have taken three subject tests, but since the admissions site says it recommends "up to three", I was wondering which ones I should send in.
So I'm basically wondering what I should do about my SAT Subject Tests. Obviously my Chem score isn't very good... So I don't really know what to do. Any help would be appreciated!

GPA: 3.944 out of 4, unweighted
Class Rank: 17/554 weighted

ACT: 35 Composite (36 Writing, 35 Math, 34 Reading, 36 Science)
SAT: 2220 (700 CR, 800 Math, 720 writing)
Subject Tests: 800 Math II, 730 US History, 640 Chemistry ( :( )

AP Classes so far:
Sophomore Year: US History=4
Junior Year: Lang=5 Euro=5

Every year I've taken as many honors/AP classes as possible.

My schedule this year and current grades (CIS means a class through University of Minnesota taught at my high school):
CIS Spanish 5 - A
AP Calc BC - A
Wind Ensemble - A
AP Psych - A
AP Chemistry - A
AP Physics - A
CIS Composition - A
and second semester I'm taking AP Lit, because CIS Comp is a semester long

Essays: Good
Recommendations: Very good.

Ethnicity - White

EC's (the one's I'm putting on common app activities for sure)

Marching Band: 10, 11, 12 Section Leader
Tae Kwon Do: Since 4th grade, instructor since 9th grade, second degree black belt
Band: Since 5th Grade, private lessons, several hours a week
Piano: Since 3rd Grade, private lessons, several hours a week as well
Debate: 9, 10, 11, 12 Varsity and competing nationally this year
Boy Scouts: Eagle Scout, Order of the Arrow, volunteering
NHS: 11, 12 Very dedicated to volunteering, get at least 20 hours per semester through NHS

Also am a National Merit Semifinalist, probably will be Finalist.

You probably don’t want to send in the 640. I’d take a different SAT II, it can’t hurt. The rest of your application is already very good.

dont send that 640 and you should be a very competitive applicant

I’d say decent chance at acceptance into the university, BME is a reach though.

I got accepted into the BME program, and I have to say, i don’t really think it matters all that much. Your scores are higher than mine, I got a 32 ACT, for instance, and on the Subject tests I got Math II 690 and then 770 (I had to retake because the 690 was shameful) Bio 760 and then I sent in a Spanish 630. I think that sending in the Chem score isn’t going to hurt you, they’ll just want you to take the gen chem class with everyone else. Your Math II score is the most important for engineering majors anyways. if anything I would take bio (if you feel prepared for it), because remember this is BIOMEDICAL engineering. just focus on writing great essays and making your individual personality shine through. That’s just my 2-cents though

I personally would not send it in. If you are on the fence, they will look at that 630 on a science subject and frown.

Would you consider Hopkins even if you’re not accepted into BME? I think you have a very good chance at the University, but I don’t know what the BME program looks for in a student. I got into BME this year so you can check my stats on the results thread.

The 640 in chemistry probably won’t matter THAT much if your chemistry grades in school are good, I guess (note the I guess). I wouldn’t send it in but remember that your application’s focused on a LOT more than an SAT subject test.

Definitely don’t send in the Chemistry.
