Stanford, Caltech, Harvard: reach
UC Berkeley: slightly a reach but worth a try.
UCLA: match but not in for sure
UCSD: in for sure.

oh never mind, I forgot to look at your ACT score lol

Stanford: still a reach (reach for almost everyone… to be honest)
Caltech and Harvard: reach~high match
UC Berkeley: low match. pretty good chance.
UCLA & UCSD: in for sure…

bump 10char

Stanford: Reach (But a pretty decent shot)
Caltech: Reach
Harvard: Reach (If you are a URM, then it wouldnt be so bad of a reach)

I’m guessing you’re instate for UCB, UCSD, UCLA:

UCB/UCLA: High Match (You should get in to at least 1)
UCSD: In

If possible, could you chance me back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/807383-hey-you-yes-you-come-look-my-thread-please.html

Thanks.

Chances at Stanford

Both of my kids applied to Stanford. S#1 was rejected and S#2 was accepted early action.

Your stats are good enough so that you aren’t in the automatic “Reject” pile. For the “Maybe” pile, it is all about how you convey yourself as a person through the essays and letters of Recs.

For the UCs…you are in at UCSD. The UCs seem to evaluate each applicant in context (i.e. your school, town, personal circumstances). I don’t know your family background, but I think you have a pretty good shot at UCB and UCLA.

Does Stanford also evaluate you in context? And I’m getting the feeling that Essays are more important than ECs, is that true?

^^^
Thats never true. How can 500 words be weighed more than some 4 years of dedication?

hm true x.x;;

more chances please!

bump 10char =[

Wow, you have a very rock-solid resume… only concern I have is why did the # of AP course drop from the past 2 years… Anyway, here’s my diagnosis:

Stanford: BIG Reach (Should’ve gone for ED)
Caltech: Ditto
Harvard: Ditto (these 3 are the 3 best schools in the country… you’re going to have much harder competition)
UC Berkeley: Reasonable Reach
UCLA: You’re In
USCD: You’re In

I would suggest some more matches (like USC, U Wash, and San Diego… all fantastic schools and you could be pretty sure of getting in)

PLEASE GO TO MY THREAD to Chance all my schols… Thanks!!

HEY! nice job-youre bound to get in at UCSD and either UCB or UCLA. Harvard is a huge reach but it always is for a lot of people.

CHANCE ME?

Stanford-high match/reach
Caltech-high reach
Harvard-high reach
UCLA-match
UCSD-match

bump 10 char!

bump bump bump

I don’t at all think UCB is a reach for you. If you’re in state, I have no idea at all why they would reject you. You’re valedictorian and your act and sat IIs are amazing.

I think: H/S/C - reaches.
UCB- low match
UCLA- low match
you’re in at one of those for sure.
UCSD - safety.

apply to more places though, more safeties cus you never know.
