Help me with a safety school?

Not really much more to say other than title.

Stats:

SAT: 2200 (1460 CR + M)
SAT 2: USH(800), Lit(730), Math 2()–taking in the fall

GPA: 4.0 UW, 4.33 W

AP: World(5), USH(4), Lang(5)

Senior Year Classes: 4 APs, 1 honors

ECs: decent, nothing amazing

My family does not have a problem paying full tuition, however paying less obviously wouldn’t hurt

Schools so Far:

  • Upenn (Wharton)
  • NYU (Stern)
  • Villanova
  • BC
  • Bucknell
  • Cornell
  • Lehigh
  • Notre Dame

I would like 1 or 2 safeties, but I’ve had some difficulty choosing them, any advice?
I would like to major in business btw.

How about your state flagship? You might get a merit scholarship with your stats which could save money that you could use for graduate school if you have such aspirations.

Yes, much more to say. What state are you in, people often use some state schools as safety schools as they are affordable, often have reasonable admit rates, and are respectable. What do you like in a school as far as geography and other fetaures? General arts and sciences major or something specialized like business or engineering? I see you do mention a couple of undergra business so look at the bloomberg business week rankings, perhaps.

I am in Georgia, but would really love to get out of the South and head to the Northeast or Midwest. I was thinking about a state school but I wouldn’t like it if I went, so I guess there is no point in counting it as a safety.

With your stats, UGA would most likely pay you to go there but I think Syracuse and Rutgers are some pretty good safety schools in the northeast.

I would think Miami and possibly IU would be safeties with your stats.

Fordham (Gabelli) might be a good option. The school has non-binding early action so you should hear back by December which is always a plus for a safety school. Also you might qualify for merit aid there.
