Help me with financial aid

Hello dear CCers,

So here is the deal. I was admitted to the Williams College Class of 2016. As I had not yet received any aid notification, I emailed the FinAid Office to ask about my EFC. And instead of giving me an answer to my question, the finaid office tells me that I'm missing income statements for both of my parents, for the whole year of 2011.

Now I had my parents ask for that document, and they brought me statements showing the total raw income for each of them, no taxes or what not, raw income, for the year 2011. Do you think that these documents will be enough? Do I need another document showing taxes and so on, for the whole year of 2011?

Thank you beforehand,
M.

Have you turned in your IDOC yet to CollegeBoard?

I am an international, and internationals not supposed to turn in the IDOC to College Board, I submitted everything through email.

I don’t know how it works for internationals, but I’m pretty confident that yes, you have to submit tax documents for the entire year of 2011.

When I sent my documentation, I just sent the Williams supplement, or whatever that thing was called, and the certification of my parents’ salaries. Those were without the taxes, because we don’t pay taxes in a separate way in Albania. They never asked for anything else, and they had the opportunity coz I applied ED.

I talked it over with my parents and they are getting me documents showing after-tax income.

Thanks Silivio !!
