Hello, I am new to this forum, so I am sorry if this is not the best place for me to post this.

I went into high school weak, and now I am really regretting it. I tried picking up the pace junior year and am also trying to do so this year - my senior year - but I cannot help but feel a sense of disappointment for my high school performance. My junior year and my current senior year have been OK as I have maintained a 3.5, but old habits die hard and it is very difficult for me to push myself to get straight A's. I have a total GPA of 3.33 and am only top %50 of my HS rank. By the time I graduate, I will have taken eight AP classes. I have few extra curricular activities in school but I am pretty active with my church and local stuff so my community service is decent. I have a SAT of 2100 witch isn't great but still my only hope.

I have applied to numerous large public institutions such as a lot of the University of Californias..., University of Texas - Austin, and Illinois - Urbana cham. My chances of getting in are slim and I simply do not know what is my best course of action for the future. I really want to receive a good education but I know that at my current state, I can attend a middle ranked university at best. Should i go to a community college...test my luck...attend whatever I get into?
