well, i feel so weird posting this, but i'd really like some help with my applications. i was really stupid and dropped a couple important activities my junior year to keep up with grades, but now i'm regretting it.

played piano for 9 years (took a break my junior year, but i'm picking it back up this summer). i've been awarded "superior plus" every single year by the state music teacher's association, and i have a high school diploma as well (basically, i completed a special set of requirements and passed the exam). this is the part i'm most nervous about, because it was a really stupid decision for me to take a break from piano! school was really difficult for me this year, and piano took the fall for it :( i could potentially have a music supplement ready by the fall...worth the effort??

leader of a local catholic youth group...9-12. i'm not sure if i should really try to dive into this and make it a major focus of my application?

diocesan wide catholic leadership team...9-11 (i didn't make it this year :( it's really, really difficult to get on the team. huge applicant pool and only about 20 kids are selected each year. i don't really know how to explain it).

founded a photography club at my high school in 11th grade. will be president in 12th. i had a photo published in our school's art and literature magazine, but it was really small!!

member of beta club (school honors society)...9-12
VP of beta club...12
member of mu alpha theta (math honors society)...9-12

i'm spending the summer doing molecular biology research at a state university. the program lasts 6 weeks, but i'm hoping to continue working there for the school year because i live close to the school.

ran track 11-12. i suck, so don't even ask!

i took horseback riding lessons 10-11. i'm probably not going to add this to my applications.

i was a demi-soloist and corps member in a production of The Nutcracker in 9th grade. unfortunately, i had a foot injury soon after and couldn't dance again.

i worked in a doctor's office during the summer between 10-11 grade.

i'm going to be a part of my high school's german exchange program in 12th. they accept people in the fall, but my teacher basically told me that i'm almost guarenteed a spot this year.

national merit, i guess?

i'm considering entering science olympiad (i think that's what it is?) for my summer research project. i could (potentially) win awards? i haven't really looked into it yet.

basically, i feel like i don't show enough "focus". i have so little time to change anything, but if anyone has any helpful advice, that would be AWESOME!

also...do i even have a chance? should i just give up on princeton? the other schools i'm looking at are northwestern, emory, washington university in st louis, vanderbilt, notre dame, and clemson. i KNOW they're all reaches. i just would love to get out of south carolina!

thanks for ANY help or advice you can provide!!
