Help Me With My College List

I'm not really sure where I want to go, can anyone put out some good school suggestions that you deem fit for me?

HS Senior (NY)

What I'm looking for: Location and Tuiton aren't really a problem for me either way. I want the school to have a recognizable name, and not be in a total rural enviroment (Sorry Wyoming University). I also need a hockey team, whether D1, D3, or club.

GPA: 3.45UW, 3.95W.
SAT: 1710 (550-630-530)
ACT: 26 (I know, I'm re-taking it.)
SAT Subject Tests: I'm taking a mathematics test as well as US History in November.
AP Tests: World History 2, US History 4. Bio later this year.
College Classes: Taken Pre-Calc through a nearby CC, am taking college algebra through the CC and Sociology through Syracuse University.
Extra Curricular activities :

High School Hockey 3 Years,
3 Seperate teams not affiliated with my high school over the past 4 years
Team Captain for 3 of the 4 teams for Hockey
HS Soccer 4 years
Club Soccer 2 years (Captain as well.)
HS Baseball 4 years (captain for one year)
Club Baseball 2 years
National Honor Society, English Honor Society, Foreign Language HS, Science HS.
Helped raise over 8,000$ for Alzheimer's over the past 5 years.
Volunteered at an ambulance
Worked at a Marina Service during summers
Volunteered at school dinners
Few more things not crossing my mind atm either...

I'm not sure where I want to go :( so please help. My dream school would be Vanderbilt University but I feel like the chances I'd be accepted there might be slim.

I've visited: Boston University, Delaware University, Boston College, and UMass, Stony Brook and have liked all of them.

Thank You for any incite provided :)

Keep Boston University, Delaware University, Boston College, and UMass, Stony Brook.

Add Northeastern University, Providence College, University of Connecticut.

You could look at the Hockey East schools.

University of Oregon
University of Vermont
University of Colorado - Boulder
Colorado State University
University of Denver
Oregon State
Gonzaga University
Seattle University
University of Georgia

Disagree about UConn. Storrs is in rural Connecticut, and he specifically doesn’t want a rural setting

What do you want to study? For hockey, if you’re not a recruited athlete, then are you just looking for a hockey team to watch? Or play in intramural?

Sorry to say, but Vandy is extremely unlikely given your scores. (Their average gps, I believe, is 4.)

U Mass seems like a good fit.
Maybe Clarkson or RIT if you’re into engineering/science

Was sort of looking at Northeastern, Vermont, and Oregon State is nice but they don’t have hockey.

I know, it kinda sucks about Vandy:</p>

BeanTownGirl; I’m pretty good, like I would probably make some of the weaker D1 teams. I want to play, but if it’s intramurals or ACHA I wouldn’t mind as long as I am playing actively.

University of Denver has a top hockey team - and club hockey as well.

UC - Boulder would be a good fit.

I think providence would also be a great choice.

Thanks for suggestions guys I’m going to analyze all of them.

Hmmm, UC Boulder and U of Denver, I do enjoy skiiing!
